What is the required qualification for NIFT UG Entrance exam?
NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) conducts its entrance exam annually for both the masters and bachelor’s programs. There are a few qualification criterion you’ll need to meet if you want to apply. And, we ‘re here to tell you what all those are. We’ll be talking about only the bachelor’s program in this blog.First of all there is a qualifying age. The maximum age needs to be less than 24 years as of 1st August of the year of admission. The upper age limit can be relaxed by 5 years for people from the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/ Person with disability(PWD categories).Back to the main topic. There are 2 degrees offered under the bachelor’s program:Bachelor of Design (B. Des) Programmes1. Passed the Plus 2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as Central Board of Secondary Education / State Board New Delhi / Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi.or2. A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects.or3. Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system.or4. General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level/ International Baccalaureate (IB).Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B. F. Tech) Programme1. Applying to top-notch design schools like NID, NIFT, UCEED, or CEED is a roller-coaster in itself – with all the form filling, document submissions, and multiple rounds of entrances. But even this joyride has an entrance fee.So, here's the thing : What's the deal with the admission form prices for these design schools?The cost of application forms for NID, NIFT, UCEED, and CEED entrances may vary from year to year. However, what I have tried to do here is provide you information based on historical data and trends :NID (National Institute of Design)NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology)UCEED/CEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design/ Common Entrance Exam for Design)Now that we have sorted out the costs of application forms another heads up!If you're fashionably late with your admission forms, you're in for a not-so-lovely surprise—late fee charges! Presented here are the rough approximations of the late fees which would be charged by the following design schools :NID late fee charges (additional to original application fees)NIFT late fee charges (additional to original application fees)UCEED/CEED late fee charges (additional to original application fees)So, keep your eyes peeled for those deadlines, and don't let the procrastination bug bite you too hard!Pay close attention when filling out your application, and make sure to submit it along with all the required documents on time.
